Welcome to Kindergarten! We are excited to start a new year with you, and cannot wait to meet you in a few short weeks! We just wanted to let families know of a change to the first two days of school this year.
On August 15th and 16th we will be conducting Meet-the-Teacher informational meetings in the Kindergarten classrooms. You will be assigned a time on one of those days for you and your child to come in to your child’s classroom. During that meeting time you will have the opportunity to drop off supplies, fill out important paperwork, as well as ask any questions or share any concerns you might have before the first day of school. This scheduled meeting will be about 30 minutes. Your child’s first day of school will then be Monday, August 19th.
You will receive your scheduled time as well as a welcome letter from your child’s kindergarten teacher in August after class lists have been finalized.
Please note that the Kindergarten classrooms will not be open for the building wide Meet-the-Teacher night Wednesday August 14th, however the Kindergarten teachers will be in the Kindergarten hallway that night if you want to stop by and introduce yourself.
We are looking forward to this beginning of the year change and hope it will help make a smoother transition for families and Kindergarten students. Please call the office at (815) 732-5300 if you have any further questions or concerns about this this change.
The first day of school for Pre-K and Kindergarten students is MONDAY, AUGUST 19TH. There will be 1/2 hour meetings with parents on Thursday, August 15th, and Friday, August 16th. Letters will be mailed with more information.
