Texas-based Triseum Company is a startup that raised $1.43 million to create improved game-based learning for higher education students. Their new game called, “ARTe Mecenas” is being piloted at OHS by the AP Art History students. The Senior Instructional Designer at Creighton University, Andrew Bunton, connected OHS Art Teacher, Cheryl Bunton, with the company. Mrs. Bunton has been able to offer her AP Art History students a chance to pilot the game and provide feedback to Triseum at no cost to the students or the district. Despite the fact that Triseum targets higher education students for their game-based learning systems, they are eager to work with Oregon High School’s AP Art History students. The company is working to improve the game and the focus of the learning that occurs as a result of the game.
