Enroll in a School

On behalf of the Board of Education, the administration, faculty, and staff of Oregon CUSD 220, I would like to welcome your family to the district.  We have a proud tradition of excellence in Academics, Activites, Service, and Leadership, and we are happy to have you and your students become a part of our schools.

For new students moving into the district or returning students who may have left the district, we will need you to come to the district office at 206 S. 10th Street, Oregon, IL.   Two forms of residency must be provided in order to begin the registration process.  Examples are: an apartment lease, closing papers on a new home, mail, etc...  

For current, returning students (summer registration), please log in to PowerSchool and click the E-Registration button on the left side of the screen.  These forms can also be completed during the school year to update demographic information such as phone numbers and addresses.  Name changes must be accompanied by the appropriate legal paperwork.  Returning students must re-register each year.  As we approach each new school year, the summer registration window dates will be posted here.  There will also be a day in late July or early August where families can come to OCUSD to complete the online forms and receive assistance from our office staff. These dates will be posted when we reach the summer months.

Early Childhood Special Education is available for children aged 3 through 5 who have an identified delay or disability.  If you suspect that your child may be eligible for Early Childhood Special Education, please contact the Ogle County Educational Cooperative at 815-234-2722 x100 to schedule a screening.  Further assessment may be required to determine if a child is eligible.  

Our Pre-K for All program is available for three and four-year-old students.   This preschool program is open to any child who is 3 or 4 years old on or before September 1 of the previous year, and who does not qualify for the Early Childhood Special Education program.

2024-2025 Registration Information
 

Dear Parents and Guardians,


We hope this message finds you well, and you are enjoying the summer break. We are excited to inform you about our registration process for the 2024-2025 school year. 


RETURNING STUDENTS

There are two options to register:


  • Option 1 allows you to register your returning student online via the PowerSchool Parent Portal beginning on July 15th. 
  • Option 2 allows you to register your returning student in person. For convenience, we will hold two open registration days:

  • July 16, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the building your child attends.
  • July 17, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
    • PreK & Kindergarten registration at Oregon Elementary School (OES) 
    • 1st-12th grade registration at Oregon Jr/Sr High School (OJSHS).

During in-person registration, computers will be available for those needing assistance with online registration, and parents can pay registration fees in person during these times. 


STUDENTS NEW TO THE DISTRICT

Parents of students new to the district should attend one of the open registration dates or visit their school office for a Parent Access Account to register. Any questions can be directed to our central office at 815-732-5300.  If you are unable to attend either registration date, please contact Dy Mowry, District Registrar, at 815-732-5716.


To receive a $25.00 early registration incentive, please complete the process by the end of business on August 2, 2024. Registrations completed after this day will not be eligible for the early incentive rate. 


OTHER IMPORTANT CLARIFYING DETAILS: 


Free and Reduced Lunch: For those applying for free and reduced lunch, applications can be completed at www.lunchapplication.com. If using a SNAP or TANF number, please have it ready when applying. Remember, to ensure a smooth start of the year, we ask that your application for free and reduced meals be submitted before the first day of school.


PowerSchool information and/or Technical Difficulties: The PowerSchool Parent Portal can be found at https://ps.ocusd.net

If you need to obtain your PowerSchool account login or password, please contact your child’s school office during business hours, Monday – Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
